Japan sure loves smartphone games. A new report (via TechInAsia) states that smartphone games now make up half of the country's gaming market, increasing 178 percent compared to last year. Wowzers.
Almost surprised it isn't higher. Seems the mobile lifestyle, the much more powerful smart phones of the past few years and the cheap price of games keeps gaining an audience. Now only if phones can get game controllers to be a more accepted norm and more developers experiment making more ambitious games. That and the battery life and memory issues are still there with mobile gaming.
