Most days on the internet are pretty sweet! Today, however, is not sweet. It is an ordeal, something to be endured through gritted teeth. Please, tread carefully.
There'll be folks out there thinking they're funny, when really, they're not. There'll be folks out there thinking they're clever, when really, whatever brilliant scheme they've got cooked up will be the worst.
There will also be, buried amongst the rubble, some genuinely hilarious content. If you find some, clutch it your chest and be thankful. If you don't, don't sweat it, we'll find some and share it.
Just so you know, we will not be indulging in any kind of April Fool's "jokes" ourselves. We'll still be pointing out those precious few gags from other sites/companies/parties that are actually worth a look (and clearly label them as April 1 content), but as far as our own stuff goes, it'll be business as usual.
So, as you prepare to meet the day, remember to be careful! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And if it looks like a dumb joke, then it definitely is. And if it looks like Half-Life 3, just step away from the keyboard before somebody gets hurt.
