Playlogic's 2007 PC shooter Infernal is getting an Xbox 360 makeover in the newly announced Infernal: Hell's Vengeance.

The original Infernal, released as a PC title in 2007, told the story of fallen angel Ryan Lennox, recruited by Hell to take on the forces of Heaven's secret service, Etherlight. Etherlight has taken out most of Hell's earthly presence, and it's up to Ryan to take down the organization on his own using nothing but his wits, a lot of weapons, and his infernal magical powers. The Xbox 360 version of the game does exactly the same thing, only with a subtitle.

"We originally created Infernal: Hell's Vengeance with console gaming in mind and are pleased to finally bring the action-filled title to Xbox 360 fans," stated Adam McGowan, marketing director for Playlogic. "The fascinating storyline, challenging missions and vast array of weaponry and supernatural powers combined with the use of the state-of-the art Physics engine create an intense experience only suitable for gamers willing to step into the depths of hell."

The original game carries a Metacritic score of only 61, with opinions ranging from horrible to mindless fun. Let's hope they tweaked the game a bit since then. Infernal: Hell's Vengeance is due out June 30th for the Xbox 360.
