Last week, we took a look at a boy-love game that had you date slabs of meat. But this new game has you date something else amazing: 8-bit RPG characters.
The game is a visual novel called Dot Boyfriend: We're 8bit Lovers! (ドットカレシWe're 8bit Lovers!). In it, you play as a girl surrounded by a metaphorical harem of male RPG archetypes to fall in love with—including the hero, the wizard, the priest, the thief, the knight, the dancer, the beast master, the monk, the evil overlord, the dark knight, the slime, and the average villager.
It's being advertised as an RPG world with a little bit of erotic content.
The game will be released in three parts, each containing four of the characters. Each volume will contain a drama audio CD in addition to the PC game.
Check out the trailer above to see the various characters and the one below for a preview of the gameplay. And if you don't mind the Japanese, the demo is available for download here from its official page (Japanese).
The first volume of Dot Boyfriend: We're 8bit Lovers! will be released for the PC on July 24, 2013, in Japan, with volumes two and three being released on September 25, 2013, and November 27, 2013, respectively.
