"I'm proud to announce that more than 2.1 million PS4s have been sold." Sony Computer Entertainment head honcho Andrew House, in a blog post thanking fans for their commitment and promising that "Playstation [will remain] the best place to play."
Nice, but I'm more worried for Japanese sales and Japanese gaming on home consoles.
Western games will do well of course. No question.
But a PS4 with a weak or slowing Japanese game support would be killer for me, as they're still migrating towards handhelds/mobile/phone gaming.
There will be several Japanese titles coming up near PS4's launch in Japan, but I hope there's more to come that has a lot of scope and ambition (and hopefully up for localization).
