The first game of American Football I ever saw was the Redskins v Broncos Super Bowl in 1988. Being Australian, Doug Williams' "I'm goin to Disneyworld!" line at the time made no sense to me. I thought he was actually speaking from the heart, and that his victory had somehow set off a burning desire for him to be near Mickey Mouse.
So I thought he was crazy.
Tonight, I sat with my fiancé as we planned stuff to do on our four-week honeymoon later in the year. She loves Disney, and we're going to Tokyo. So we're going to be spending a day at Disneyland. In Tokyo.
And I thought Doug Williams was crazy.
