DISCUSSION

I'm actually totally in love with Wildstar's visual style as a whole. It's incredibly colorful and absolutely OOZES charm. People, THIS is what graphics were made for:

I mean, I understand to a much greater degree than your average gamer what it takes to render that much detail and replicate the look of real settings like that with such detail in real-time, but that's a lot of effort to put into making something boring as hell to look at. We have at our fingertips the ability to create ANYTHING we can possibly imagine, and here we are using that 9 times out of 10 to recreate a thing we can just go outside and see right now. There's merit to be found in just about anything but let's tone down the realism just... as a rule, for a while.

What Wildstar is doing is simply beautiful, and it truly has an aesthetic to call its own.
