CD Projekt Red recently delayed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from February 2015 to May 2015. That's three months. It took YouTuber Nick McDonalds two months to recreate the game's 2013 trailer using MS Paint. Coincidence? Probably.
The Witcher 3 is a beautiful game, but then a lot of games are beautiful games these days. I'm getting a little tired of beautiful, borderline photo-realistic games. I think Nick might be on to something here.
This MS Paint masterpiece is comprised of 30 different compositions, each taking Nick around 55 minutes to complete (20 minutes drawing, 35 miniutes compositing). He used After Effects for the compositing and character animation. I'm guessing this is exactly the same stuff CD Projekt used to make the actual game. Explains the delay.
