Computing giant IBM will later today unveil CityOne, which is basically SimCity, except IBM made it instead of EA, and the focus is on sustainable cities instead of rampaging UFOs and reticulated splines.
I like where this is going. It's a 21st century SimCity, substituting worries over train stations and airports with more modern concerns over water usage and booming population growth.
It's being pitched as a "serious" game, one more about education than enjoyment, but that trailer below looks pretty impressive regardless (though the in-game footage at the end is cause for concern). Looking forward to hearing more about it!
