Telltale's Mark Darin, just for kicks, has taken 2012 adventure series The Walking Dead (which he helped write) and thrown it back a few decades, imagining it as a Commodore 64 title.

He's pretty much nailed it. From the resolution to the colour palette. I'm now a little bummed out I can't actually play this. Maybe I'll just print the amazing cover art off, based on a piece by Ertaç Altınöz, and pretend.

So many faux retro pixel games these days. It's great and all, but why doesn't anyone do mid-90's throwbacks with blocky, flat shaded, low poly visuals? Am I the only one nostalgic for that type of look too? You know what would look cool? A Walking Dead "Demake" in the style of Another World or Interstate '76...
