Some cosplay photographers like to go nuts in photoshop, moving beyond simple image correction and into the realms of stuff like fake fireballs and lens flare. Me, I like things the old-fashioned way.
That’s what’s so cool about this behind-the-scenes video detailing a recent shoot that cosplayer Lyz Brickley had with photographer Beethy (with help from Sean Bear). It shows that while photoshop was used for colours and removing the “strings”, the rest of the effects shown in the incredible photos—from the natural sunset to puffs of dirt to Lyz’s hair flipping up—were done by hand.
