How are we feeling about the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate these days? The game played well when I tried it last spring. I think a side-scrolling Castlevania on the 3DS XL with the 3D slider pushing the backgrounds beyond the system, should be good.

I got to play it at E3.. and I was unimpressed. It's a 3D Castlevania slapped on to a 2D framework, and because of that, it doesn't have the pixel perfect precision of your typical 2D Castlevanias. It feels like a floaty action game instead.

Not to mention that the frame rate was a bit poor (though that might be because it's a demo build, but you can't be too sure). The game just doesn't feel right to me. I would have been fine with 2D sprites and a 3D-ish parallax background movement.
