Can you believe the Wii has made it four years without a Hello Kitty title? Luckily Sanrio Digital and Zoo Games are bringing Hello Kitty Seasons to the Wii this holiday. Otherwise I would have had to kick some ass.
Yes, I am completely serious. How come the Nintendo DS gets all the Hello Kitty games? Why is there no console love in North America? The last Hello Kitty game I remember playing on a console was a puzzle game for the PlayStation 2, and even that was an import. It's time for Hello Kitty Seasons.
It's the season for Hello Kitty Seasons?
The game sees players creating and maintaining their own colorful town, populated with popular Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, and Chococat, unlocking new levels of customization as they go on adventures. Along the way the town will change with the seasons, much like Animal Crossing, only without...well I guess Hello Kitty and friends count as animals.
"It's exciting to extend our Hello Kitty branded games portfolio to the Nintendo Wii console platform," said Robert Ferrari, Vice President Publishing and Business Development for Sanrio Digital. "With Hello Kitty Seasons we are introducing Wii players to the engaging and fun-filled gameplay of a Hello Kitty title."
Again, it's about damn time.
Look for Hello Kitty Seasons to go on sale in time for this year's holiday season. And now you know what to get me for Christmas.
