Five months after the release of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, Blizzard has released the real-time strategy game's demo, a chance for those who didn't get caught up in summertime StarCraft hype to try the game for free.
What's in the demo? The first three missions of the Wings of Liberty campaign and Terran-on-Terran solo skirmish. Sorry, no multiplayer, but you have unlimited time with the demo and can play it offline, without the need for a Battle.net account. It's English language only for now, but Blizzard says other language versions will eventually roll out.
The demo is a different beast from the StarCraft II "guest pass" option, which requires a friend with a trial key, demands a Battle.net account and is only playable for a limited time. Any other questions? The Blizzard FAQ might help!
While you're patiently waiting for the download to complete, why not read our StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty review, since you seem to still be on the fence.
