Nintendo has had its fair share of celebrity pitch ladies. There's been Nicole Kidman, Liv Tyler and Beyonce. The United Kingdom is getting the The Queen.
Not the real queen, but Dame Helen Mirren, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Her Majesty in the 2006 film The Queen. Mirren will be shilling Wii Party and Wii Fit.
Mirren already knows how to party! She has admitted that she used to "love" doing cocaine during the 1980s. "I loved coke," Mirren told GQ. "I never did a lot, just a little bit at parties." Those parties sound very different from the hide-the-Wii-mote mini-games of Wii Party.
Besides Wii Party, Dame Mirren will also be appearing in ads for Wii Fit, which is certainly a product that the 65-year-old actress does not need. She's already in amazing shape.
Regardless, Helen Mirren will be appearing on television, endorsing Wii Party and Wii Fit. Maybe Nintendo can get Marilyn vos Savant (instead of Terry Wogan) to hawk Brain Age or something!
