Born in China on March 1, 1968, Chun-Li is an Interpol agent, investigating her father's death. Her impact on gaming has been tremendous. She was the first playable female fighter and made her debut in 1991's Street Fighter II, going on to appear in a slew of Street Fighter titles and inspire legions of cosplayers everywhere.
Jackie Chan famously cosplayed as Chun-Li in the flick City Hunter. More recently, a British rock group did a B-side named after her, showing that after all these years Chun-Li remains as relevant as ever.
