Grave of the Fireflies writer Akiyuki Nosaka died yesterday in Tokyo. He was 85. Drawing from his own war experiences, the prolific Nosaka published Grave of the Fireflies as a short story in 1967.
Perhaps his most famous work, it was adapted into a Studio Ghibli anime in 1988. May he rest in peace.
