Minecraft isn't just a place where weird crossovers happens. It's also a living, breathing environment that's in a constant state of flux. The latest changes coming with the game's 1.4 update will be Halloween-themed, with new enemies, crafting tools and decorations for users to mess around with.
So, a question. My husband and I are casual Minecraft players and I run a server he and I like to build and play on. It's my understanding that patching to the newest version means all the gameplay changes and such will be applied, but any new structures (like the witch huts in the swamps) won't be generated on any of the terrain we've already explored, correct? We'd need to go somewhere else so that the world generates "fresh" terrain to get them? We just tend to create a new world every time a big patch hits so we "get" everything, and if there's a way around that, I'd be curious to know. He's spent SO long meticulously building up and fortifying the village we "live" near in the game.
