Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will not go on sale in Japan. According to the official Xbox Japan Blog, it was too difficult to get the Ultimate Edition, with its new content, to conform to Japanese ratings regulations. Previous Gears of Wars titles, however, were released in Japan.
