“For this game, we used the works of Rutger Bregman and Yuval Noah Harari as reference for thinking about humanity in the future,” co-founder and artist Hiroco Shiino said in a video featurette. “The game takes place in a future that could really happen. It’s about daily life in a place called Rakuen (paradise). I think the problems presented in this game will be very familiar to us in the real world.” Co-founder and programmer Akira Mitsuhashi added, “This title was Hiroco’s idea, so Hiroco is the key person for this project. And I listen to Hiroco whenever she has questions, and we come up with a vairety of ideas together.”
