This marked Rovio’s first global sports partnership, a web game developed with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles for the 2012 season. It introduced a unique, purchasable bird character—the “Mighty Philadelphia Eagle”—which executed a powerful earthquake-style attack. The game’s levels were directly mapped to the Eagles’ real-world game schedule for that year. It was notable for an animated promotional video where the bird characters communicated in a fictional language.
