Four Minutes With the Amazing Castlevania Puzzle Game

I wasn't expecting much from Castlvania Puzzle: Encore of the Night when I heard it was coming to the iPhone.

Do we really need another themed-puzzle game for this device, I thought. But then I played the $5 app and discovered that we apparently do.

The game has you moving between the rooms of Dracula's castle fighting bad guys in quick Puzzle-Fighter-esque matches that require you to match colored falling blocks to do damage. But there's a twist, a PuzzleQuest twist. The game also allows you to cast spells and use items in matches. You can also level up your character and build up attributes.

So far this is shaping up to be a fantastic combination of two great puzzle games with a lovely Castlevania overlay.
