Fortnite’s current season will end on June 4, Epic announced in a blog post today. The developer wrote, “We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises up our sleeve!”

most people have already completed the 100 levels required for the battlepass and there was still a minimum of 2 weeks left in the season at this point so this is essentially another month of a season that already has a bunch of pro players and streamers complaining daily about the game feeling stale with no new content and too competitive even in pub matches because of their very unpopular SBMM and forced crossplay. This also follows the previous season which was extended way past its shelf life to implement a specifically referenced physics engine that only ever been mentioned in GDC presentation showing off a ton of destruction physics but then we waited for the migration and they ended up doing absolutely nothing with it.
All this on top of Epic’s very scant communications about anything that isn’t marketing and it’s leading a lot of players to prophesy the doom of fortnite.
