Everything We Saw At Xbox's 2026 Summer Showcase

Sony had its big summer showcase on Monday with a State of Play, and now it’s Microsoft’s turn. The company held its own stream today to show off new games coming to Xbox Series X/S, and had already confirmed it wouldn’t feature any news on the consoles’ upcoming “Project Helix” successor. Gears of War: E-Day

Kicking off the show is Gears of War: E-Day, the prequel showing the beginnings of Marcus Fenix’s no-good, very-bad day fighting the Locusts as they first appear on Sera. Xbox will have an extended showcase for the game after the rest of the show ends. The game will launch on October 6, and will be available to Game Pass subscribers on day one. It will also be an Xbox console exclusive, so it will not be coming to PlayStation like the Gears of War: Reloaded remaster did.

Fable

Playground Games is up next with a story trailer for Fable. After a delay out of 2026, the game will launch on February 23 of 2027. It will also launch on Game Pass day one.

Halo: Campaign Evolved

Halo Studios is bringing new missions to Halo: Campaign Evolved, the remake of the original Halo coming on July 28. The new missions are set before the events of the main game, and the video showcased them with a trailer narrated by Sgt. Johnson. It will also launch on Game Pass on day one.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Keeping the prequel theme of the day going, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is coming to Xbox, PC, and PS5 on August 27, and will be on Game Pass at launch.

Persona 4 Revival

Okay, now we’re speaking to me personally. We finally got a proper look at Persona 4 Revival, the upcoming remake of Persona 4. Despite us not having seen much of it until now, the game is actually coming up pretty soon. It looks like it will include content from the “definitive” Persona 4 Golden, rather than having it tacked on as DLC like Persona 3 Reload did. The game will launch on February 18 on Xbox, PC, and PS5, and will come to Game Pass on day one.

State of Decay 3

Next up is State of Decay 3, the first game in the survival series since Xbox acquired developer Undead Labs way back in 2018. The game will launch on Xbox, PC, and PS5 in 2027, and like everything else we’ve seen thus far, come to Game Pass at launch.

Sea of Thieves

Now we check in with Rare, which is bringing a free creation suite to Sea of Thieves called Custom Seas. This lets you make modes, challenges, places to hang out, in-game cinematics, and more. It will launch during the game’s 20th season on June 18.

Metro 2039

Next up is a new look at Metro 2039, the upcoming entry in the shooter series from 4A Games in Ukraine. It’s launching in February on PC, PS5, and Xbox.

Bad Magpie

Now for something a little different. Bad Magpie is a cute (and also maybe slightly dark) puzzle game starring a bird who leaves chaos and destruction in its wake. It’s coming to PC and Xbox next year, and will launch on Game Pass.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are next with Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the sequel to the 2023 historical fantasy action game. It’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox in early 2027, and will launch on Game Pass.

Join Us

If you wanted Cult of the Lamb to be more photorealistic, campy, and violent, Join Us is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox in March. And yes, it’s coming to Game Pass day one. At this rate I should’ve just said everything they’re showing was coming to Game Pass at the top of the post.

Senua

Oh dang, we’re getting a new Hellblade already? The third game in Ninja Theory’s cinematic action series is simply called Senua, and will launch on PC, Xbox, and PS5 in 2027, and come to Game Pass at launch.

Doom: The Dark Ages

After a brief musical trailer for Fallout 76‘s Infestations update, Bethesda showed off a new look at Doom: The Dark Ages‘ Revelations DLC, which will launch on July 7.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour

Next up, Sega showed off its long-awaited Crazy Taxi revival called Crazy Taxi: World Tour. It’s coming in 2027 to Xbox, PC, PS5, and Switch 2.

Xbox Series X 25th Anniversary Collection

Microsoft showed off a new limited-edition Xbox Series X model for the brand’s 25th anniversary.

Age of Empires IV: Raiders of the North

We got a brief look at the new Age of Empires IV expansion called Raiders of the North. It will launch on all platforms this fall.

Minecraft Dungeons II

Mojang Studios brought a new look at the co-op dungeon crawler Minecraft Dungeons II, which is coming to PC, Xbox, PS5, and Switch / Switch 2 on September 29.

Magicians: The Devil’s Deal

Next up is Magicians: The Devil’s Deal, a magic-based first-person shooter(?) in which you use magic tricks to fight your way out of hell. It’s coming to PC, Xbox, and PS5 in 2027, and will launch on Game Pass.

Valor Mortis

Valor Mortis got a pretty gnarly release date trailer confirming the historical fantasy shooter is coming out on PC, PS5, and Xbox on September 24 and coming to Game Pass on day one.

The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls Online is adding the Thieves Guild and heist quests in a new update coming on July 8.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is getting a new update featuring U.S. National Parks, which will launch on July 4…oh, that’s why they said they were “celebrating the beauty of the United States” at the beginning. Anyway, the game will also get National Championship air races in the fall.

Where Winds Meet

Next up is Where Winds Meet, which is getting a Hidden Mountain update in July, and is finally coming to Xbox today on Game Pass.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is a new classic-style sidescrolling Castlevania, and it’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox on October 15.

Vivarium

Next is a gorgeous anime-inspired life sim called Vivarium that basically looks like a playable Studio Ghibli movie. It’s coming to PC and Steam in 2027, and will launch on Game Pass.

Persona 6

I guess Atlus didn’t want to steal Persona 4 Revival‘s thunder too much, but I was really expecting something more from the Persona 6 reveal than a moody teaser and a logo. Alrighty, then. It’s coming to PC, Xbox, and PS5, and will launch on Game Pass.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond

It’s been a hot minute since we got a new Spyro the Dragon game, but Spyro: A Realm Beyond is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2 in spring of 2027. It will come to Game Pass on day one.

Clockwork Revolution

InXile is next with a new look at the characters and time-bending antics of Clockwork Revolution. The game comes to PC and Xbox in 2027 and will launch on Game Pass.
