Europe Getting "Director's Cut" Version Of Donkey Kong

Japan's "hacked" version of Super Mario Bros. isn't the only modified classic included with red Wiis around the world. Turns out the copy of Donkey Kong hitting Europe has been messed with as well.

Or, edited, at least. See, the original home console version of Donkey Kong had to run a little short, because the "cement" level from the arcade game (1:02 in the clip above) was omitted from the NES version due to file size restrictions. In the version included with the red Wii, however, it makes a return.

It doesn't make the game much more enjoyable, but it certainly makes the European version of the red Wii more valuable. Or, so you'd think. In these tumultuous economic times, who knows!
