Maaaaaaybe. According to India's Economic Times, Sony are planning on launching a new, fourth model of the PS2 later this year (remember, there were two of the original models, one with system link, one without). They're calling it a "higher-end" version - presumably for its looks - and say it'll be "slimmer, sleeker and more suave". It'll also feature an internal A/C supply, meaning no more external cables, and will be the same price as the existing PSTwo redesign. Two questions here. First is obviously whether this is real or not. Second is: why? Well, if Sony are serious about their pledge to have all their products networked and online, then maybe it'll also feature an internal modem as well.
