EA Shows Off Madden 10 For Wii's "Genre-Defining Art Style"

EA Sports is making the best of the Wii's graphical prowess by going with a stylized look for the Nintendo console-bound version of Madden NFL 10, which EA says is a "genre-defining art style."

Those visual changes include a "new stylized broadcast presentation" and new, exaggerated player models that range from the spindly wide receiver to the portly lineman. Each professional footballer has been endowed with anatomical caricature, the kind of un-realism that would make them real-life monstrosities but easier on the eyes than photorealistic versions running on Wii hardware.

Think Team Fortress 2 football, minus the toon-like shaders and, well, with a little less charm.
