By day, Richard Hilleman - one of the creators of Madden - works at Electronic Arts as Chief Creative Director. By night, however, he builds environmentally-friendly supercars.

Hilleman has worked closely with Capstone Turbine Corporation to design the CMT-380, a "high performance hybrid electric supercar" that runs on a combo of batteries and a "microturbine". Which is basically a small jet engine.

In full-blown marketing pitch mode, Hilleman gushes "Not only does this car look great and is fun to drive, but its low-maintenance, high-efficiency turbine engine makes it a stress-free, no compromise hybrid."

"The CMT-380 is perfect for people who want it all. These kinds of customers value a high level of driving performance but also are concerned about social issues such as reducing greenhouse emissions and limiting our country's dependence on foreign oil".

Drive fast, save baby seals. Got it. The CMT-380 will make its public debut later this week at the LA Auto Show. The odds on this thing appearing in the next Need For Speed game are so bad you won't even be able to place a bet.
