Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Looks To Be PS4 Only in Japan [Update]

This year, we’re getting a new Dragon Ball Xenoverse game. In the West, it’s coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In Japan, it currently appears to be PS4 only.

Update - May 20 4:26am: A Namco Bandai spokesperson told Kotaku, “The game will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive in Japan. It will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in North America and Europe.”

As pointed out by Famitsu and as seen below, the game’s international trailer lists the previously mentioned platforms:

However, the Japanese trailer has only one platform:

Famitsu writes that going by the trailer, the movie will be released this fall as a PS4 exclusive in Japan.

Kotaku reached out to Namco Bandai for clarification, but hasn’t heard back yet.

Not a surprise the One is doing worse then the 360 this time in its lifecycle as Microsoft doesn’t seem to care and Japan reciprocates. Plus there just isn’t a lot of support for gaming on the PC in Japan as other Asian territories.
