The 2016 edition of the The International, DOTA 2's biggest tournament of the year, was held in Seattle over the weekend. It made a lot of people very, very rich (or, as this list of esport’s top earners shows, richer).

With over $20 million in prizemoney on offer, the winning team—Wings, from China—took home just over $9 million. Which means every member of Wings pockets a bit under $2 million. Each.

It was a memorable tournament, with some of the biggest names (like Team Liquid) bowing out early in upsets.
