For years, big anime-style eyes have been popular in Japan. Now, one Japanese fashion mag is introducing "doll style make up." Please don't catch on. Please.

The make-up is designed to make your eyes look like a plastic doll's. The image, via Twitter user @yun___yu, is from Popteen, which is one of Japan's most popular teen fashion mags and which is also known for off-the-wall photoshoots. The look isn't mainstream and hopefully it will stay that way.

Online in Japan, people compared the style to ventriloquist dummies, goblins, and Furby.

The fuck? Did I read that right, Brian? The caption from the magazine itself says "The freckles are the charm point" - are there actually freckles that didn't show up too well in the image? If there are...I may be delaying my return to Japan for another however long it takes for this to die.

...However long it takes for this to die and return to the dark, dead void from whence it came. The same dark, deadness in the beady eyes of a doll - always with you, always watching, and always...waiting.
