It's tough to write Nightwing. Anyone approaching the superhero identity of Batman's first sidekick has to find ways to make him seem as capable as his mentor without feeling like a clone.
Writer Kyle Higgins has a pretty good job of that, by focusing on the passion and emotional attachment that Grayson brings to crime-fighting. This latest story arc has Nightwing fighting against a secretive vigilante group. I've loved the artwork by Eddy Barrows on this series, but this issue previewed above has artist Andres Guinaldo on inks. It's still great art, which you can get more of when Nightwing #12 hits comics shops and digital storefronts tomorrow. Click each page for a larger version.
