Dead Steve Jobs Selling New Android Tablet in Taiwan

Apple is in direct competition with Google's Android. Steve Jobs hated it. He once told Walter Isaacson, "I'm going to destroy Android, because it's a stolen product. I'm willing to go thermonuclear war on this."

Now, only months after his death, a fake Steve Jobs is promoting an Android powered tablet called the "Action Pad" in a Taiwanese commercial. In it, Taiwanese actor Ah Ken, who has previously imitated the former Apple exec, plays Jobs.

Dressed in a Jobs' trademark black turtleneck, the fake Jobs pulls the Action Pad from his pocket-much like Jobs famously pulled new devices from his pocket during presentations-and puts his hands together in a gesture that resembles praying. At the end of the commercial, the fake Jobs says, "Thank God, I can play another pad."

The commercial does not explicitly refer to Apple or Jobs.

"Steve Jobs always promoted things that were good for people, Apple products, so his image can also promote other things that are good," an Action Electronics spokesperson told Reuters.

And while Jobs called Android "shit", Action Electronics explained to Reuters, "We have no choice but to use Android, we can't use iOS." The company does have a choice whether or not to use Jobs' likeness so soon after his death.

Why stop at merely ripping off the iPad when you can parody its dead co-founder?

[Thanks for the tip, Eric!]

This is great. I think it is disgusting how Jobs is remembered as some "Hero" of the people. Steve Jobs is personally responsible for the loss of Hundreds of thousands of potential US jobs, and the creation of Hundreds of thousands of new Slave Labor jobs in Asia and Europe.
