Commenter KingKellogg the Waffle Haggler encountered a Single White Female situation while playing online the other day, and wonders if you've ever had the pleasure of attracting creepy online dopplegangers in today's Speak Up on Kotaku.

So here I was playing Halo when one of the people who added me as a friend requested I play with them, so I do. But when I get there I notice something ...odd

The kid had started to copy me. He changed his Spartan's appearance to match mine; he copied my emblem and my service tag. Just to make it creepier he kinda stalk/protected me through the rest of our matches...

Anyone else had this happen?

About Speak Up on Kotaku: Our readers have a lot to say, and sometimes what they have to say has nothing to do with the stories we run. That's why we have a forum on Kotaku called Speak Up. That's the place to post anecdotes, photos, game tips and hints, and anything you want to share with Kotaku at large. Every weekday we'll pull one of the best Speak Up posts we can find and highlight it here.

My friends and I love to mess with kids on Halo 3 Matchmaking because literally the only people who still play it are us and 12 year olds who can't afford Reach. So we go on Team Slayer and have 4 of us in a party so the only person on our team is not in our party or in on the joke. Then we go on clan chat and constantly betray the kid and try to egg him on and make him angry. After we lose for having like -12 kills, we invite the kid to our party and yell at him for "making us lose", but usually what happens is we become really good friends with the kid. Like this happened the other day and he went into our party and we were like "So can I ask you a question, why do you suck so bad at this game?" and then he said "Idk I don't play it very much. I have a question for you; do you like Pokemon?" And then we spent two hours in a random Custom Games match talking about our love for Pokemon, and now we play Halo with this kid all the time.

This is not the first time that's happened, idgi
