Comparing Batman: Arkham City on Wii U, Xbox 360 & PS3

Seeing as many of the third-party launch games on Wii U are already out on the PS3 and/or 360, those games are going to have to do one of two things. Or maybe even both of them.

Those games are going to need to make real good use of the Wii U controller, and they're going to need to look better than the 360 and PS3 versions of games.

The jury is still out on the gamepad, but Batman: Arkham City at least looks... a bit better... in some places? Honestly, even in HD and at fullscreen, you're hard pressed finding many differences outside of some shinier character models.

Hahaha holy shit look at those textures just straight up not loading. Yes, that is a problem with the Unreal Engine. The Nintendo faithful are missing the point in that the 360 and PS3 versions don't do that. Ever. It does the much better quick and slow fuzzy focus.

So here's the dialog so far that I've been hearing: Before the WiiU came out, "I'm waiting to buy the WiiU version of all these because they'll be the superior versions". Now that it's out and they totally aren't, "Well, they're just shitty ports from day one developers. The ports will get better as time goes on", which is adorable considering there's already two systems that devs know inside and out and have a much larger install base that don't have to muddle through shitty port syndrome. Any bets on what the next round of "Well yes, it sucks BUT" will be?
