Using a standard Apple component cable and an iPhone 4 as a controller, Majic Jungle Software's Chopper 2 transforms the iPad into an expensive video game console.
There are a handful of games out there that support using the iPhone as a controller for the iPad, but few look quite as gorgeous running on a 42 inch LCD television as Chopper 2. It's an old school 2D chopper combat game given a 3D facelift, and you know how we feel about helicopter combat here at Kotaku.
More than that, it's a prime example of how easy it would be for Apple to move from the portable gaming space into console gaming. With just one cable the iPad or iPhone 4 for that matter are television ready. All either device needs is a viable console-style Bluetooth controller and we're good to go.
Chopper 2 is now available at the iTunes App Store for $4.99.
