Since Issak Lasson was three, the boy experienced sinus problems. According to KSL.com, years of doctor visits and prescription medication didn't ease the kid's ills. That's because for half his life, six-year-old Issak Lasson has been living with a LEGO up his nose.
Last month, a doctor finally noticed something peculiar up Issak's nose. "I put some spaghetti up there, but that was a long time ago," the six-year-old is quoted as telling the doctor. A specialist discovered that it wasn't pasta, but a flexible LEGO wheel wrapped in fungus.
The specialist was able to extract the LEGO piece, and since then Issak has been sleeping better.
"I felt so bad," Craig Lasson, Issak's father, told KSL. "He was sleeping with his mouth open, trying to breathe."
"You ask yourself, 'Am I a bad parent because I didn't catch it sooner?' But the doctors just kept prescribing antibiotics," he continued. "We just didn't know."
