While Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was certainly the biggest news to come out of last week's Capcom-centric game gathering, it was by no means the only news.
Capcom also revealed that Bionic Commando ReArmed 2 was in development and confirmed that Okamiden was indeed bound for U.S. DSes.
Here's a run down and summary of all of the big news that came out of the event. Keep in mind this is only a digest of the dozens of stories we have coming to you from the event. You'll want to come read all of our stories over the course of the week to dig down into the nitty, gritty of this news.
As it rolls out you'll find all of it here.
Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
As predicted, as expected, Capcom's biggest news was the coming of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 next Spring. While the company kept most of the details to themselves, they did talk a bit about the making of the title and what we can expect from it.
It will be a 2.5D fighter running on MT Framework, will include more than 30 characters and hit the PS3 and Xbox 360, they say.
We also believe we have identified more than half of the current roster characters in the game.
Dead Rising 2
It was a pleasant surprise to learn that Dead Rising 2 will indeed have a robust and meaningful plot and, much more importantly, the ability to drop in and out of a friend's campaign to cooperatively work through the game.
Make sure to check back today and throughout the week for our hands on impressions, gameplay videos and to read what we discovered during our interviews.
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
It's still awesome looking, it's coming next year and it will now allow you to... jump! Really. Stay tuned.
Okamiden
Long rumored for a U.S. release, Capcom finally confirmed this DS sequel to the popular Playstation 2 and Wii title will be hitting portables outside of Japan.
We go hands on with the U.S. build and sit down with the developer for an interesting interview.
Ghost Trick
This fantastically fascinating DS puzzler by the team behind Phoenix Wright has you possessing items to solve puzzles and unravel the mystery of your own murder. Our time spent playing it was fun and informative.
Lost Planet 2
Capcom already has downloadable maps lined up for Lost Planet 2, we go hands on with them and check out what it's like to go head-to-head armed to the teeth while underwater.
Sengoku Basara
It's the game that launched mangas, tv shows, food, video games and broke a thousand Japanese women's hearts. But how will the dreamy Samurai brawly fare in the United States?
We talk to the producer and play the game.
Super Street Fighter IV
The upcoming fighter will include a robust system for hosting online tournaments, we learned, and prior to launch gamers will be able to pick up Street Fighter themed avatars on the Xbox 360.
We also spent some time with producer Yoshinori Ono discussing the impact of the series, where it's headed and new details about the arcade version.
Miscellanea
There were plenty of other neat little tidbits that came out of the days spent at Captivate from news of Kieji Inafune's new role at the company, to game-themed art on the iPad. We talked with Marvel, with comic makers Udon, with game makers and game players.
Make sure to stick around for the rest of the week for all of the news, stories and fun coming from Capcom's Captivate.
