In tonight's off topic open thread, can we give it up for cold cereal? Particularly, let's give Cap'n Crunch his due for his years of impressive service in the field of delivering sugar rushes to children's mornings.
But Crunch may be on his way out, taking his crunch berries with him. Me, I've always been a peanut butter Cap'n Crunch man, myself. I'm a huge, huge fan of cold cereal, something I don't think I could live without for very long. I'm always shocked and slightly disturbed by those who bypass breakfast, not only the most important meal of the day, but often the most delicious.
I'll leave you to talk amongst yourselves. Here are some conversation starters.
- Cap'n Crunch may be retiring - High sugar content and waning sales may mean Sir Crunch is going away.
- A look inside glacier caves - Beautiful.
- Your daily bad news for Spider-man the musical - Director Julie Taymor is gone, opening delayed.
- The Wall Street Journal's review of the iPad 2 - Gizmodo has a good round-up of first impressions.
