Criterion Games has announced that the "Legendary Cars" pack, which features some of Hollywood's most famous, fantastical vehicles, will be bustin' to Burnout Paradise starting this Thursday. And bustin' makes me feel good.

So does the possibility of driving KITT from Knight Rider the Carson Nighthawk, the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard the Cavalry Bootlegger, the ECTO-1 from Ghostbusters the Manhattan Spirit, and Doc Brown's DeLorean from Back to the Future the 88 Special.

All four nods to classic film cars in the "Legendary Cars" pack will cost you money as of February 19th. That's some amount of money, as far as we know.

Thanks for the heads up, Sergio!

1981 through '83! The DeLorean DMC-12 was produced between those years for the price of $12k (hence the "DMC-12", as it was from DMC for that price).

Also it's a piece of junk with stainless steel that stains, an AM/FM tape deck, crummy seats, and those sexy, sexy gull wing doors. It looks sweet and goes from zero to 60 in about, let's say thirty, forty seconds (fifty tops).

And it was when I wrote in the MPH stats that I realized '88 special is an 88MPH gag. For all my BTTF love, I missed that completely.
