Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night won’t be out in 2017. It’s been pushed back to 2018, and additional developers are being brought aboard to finish the title.
Given the number of stretch goals and just the scale of the main game, this is not a bad thing at all.
Plus, they’ve been pretty good with providing regular developer updates that you can get a better estimate the amount of time required as they go.
(So far, in the forums and on youtube it’s been generally well-received news. Only on Twitter would you see toxicity, which is always expected there.)
