The Piano Man is bringing some of his biggest hits to MTV Games and Harmonix's Rock Band, arguably the best reason to pick up a copy of Rock Band 3's new keyboard controller.

Ten tracks from Billy Joel will be coming to Rock Band 3 starting in December, including "Big Shot," "Captain Jack," "It's Still Rock N Roll to Me," "Movin' Out," "Only The Good Die Young," "Piano Man," "Pressure," "Say Goodbye to Hollywood," "The Entertainer," and "The Stranger." A Pro Keys option will be available for each song, but don't count on a harmonica peripheral hitting before "Piano Man" arrives.

"The addition of the keyboard made me interested in bringing my music to Rock Band," said Joel in the official announcement. "The game introduces music to an enthusiastic audience in a powerful way, and now also helps players get a grasp on the fundamentals of the keyboard."

"I'm totally downloading 'Pressure' on December 14," added me.

Joel tells USA Today that he agreed to bring his music to Rock Band after reading an Entertainment Weekly review of NBC sitcom The Office. The critic reportedly wrote of a gag referencing Joel's inclusion in a Rock Band game "God forbid that ever should happen."

"So I called my people and said, 'Get me (on) that Rock Band game,'" Joel said. "Then I wrote the critic, saying that every time I get a check, I'll give him a little nod."

In summation, God forbid that Led Zeppelin should ever come to Rock Band.
