The Beatles in my Guitar Hero and Rock Band? More likely than you think! Granted, getting the Fab Four's music in a game is no easy task. Publishers would have to convince Apple Corps, the company that overseas the group's interests, and EMI, the UK company that owns the group's master recordings — both of which have been tough to approve Beatles music in movies and slow to release albums on CDs/digitally and whatnot in the past. Though, Apple Corps — whose board members include Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison and Yoko Ono Lennon — did okay the use of Beatles tunes on American Idol. According to the Financial Times, Activision and MTV Games have apparently been in talks with Beatles reps about bringing the group's music to games. Activision denied to comment, while MTV Games stated: "We are talking to virtually every major rock artist all the time about ways we might get them involved in Rock Band." And right now somewhere in Japan (and elsewhere!), people are singing crap karaoke versions of "Hey Jude" and "Yesterday".
