I really love RoTK X for the ability to play as an officer or a ruler along with strong support for role immersion. I’m a bit sad that there was never a translated release of its expansion that added content and fixed a few issues (I think siege weapons were more balanced and AI was improved). Read more

Suikoden 3, since I missed out on 2 before playing three, is probably my favorite “this is a game in a series,” choice. Best story, best antagonist (2's antagonist is great, mind you), and best collection of 108 Stars imo. Read more
