Digitally? No. You can buy just Bayonetta 2 for $50. That’s what I did. You can buy the first digitally for $30. But if you buy one, they discount the other so that I don’t think your total price would ever be over $60. Read more

Not quite. That shot is from my Switch. The list is showing a 66% discount on the first Bayonetta for me because I bought Bayonetta 2. You get a deep cut in the cost of one if you buy the other. Read more

Nintendo Directs and E3 press conferences tend to be during the week. Some E3 stuff now happens on Sundays, but Saturday afternoons in the U.S. tends to be be the most-avoided window for gaming news announcements, likely because people aren’t paying that much attention at the time. Read more

Did you bother to do the new tribe quests that were added in the months after release? I tried a few and they felt barely distinguishable from the main game. There’s just so much clutter in this game! Read more

This didn’t fit in the piece, but I should also note that the game just got a patch that adds a first-person mode, if you prefer to play your open-world horror games that way. I briefly tried it but didn’t care for it. The game already had one surprise first-person section already, and I’d rather defer to the game to Read more

What, I didn’t do a good enough job of this for you? (I kid, I kid, but do note that I did shoot this in Istanbul!). Read more

Sorry about that. Not Heather’s fault, since she pitched a non-spoiler headline. But it went live with a spoiler one due to some editorial wires getting crossed. We changed to a non-spoiler headline shortly after publishing, since we figure some people might want to find this one out for themselves. Read more

Something I forgot to mention in the piece but wanted to add is that I think people who get these things are going to enjoy customizing them. Nintendo’s been pushing customization for Joy-Con as a coloring/magic-marker kind of thing. That’s not quite my style. But there’s more to it than that. Read more

I don’t see why, say, the fishing game couldn’t be full of different fish and bodies of water and whatnot. But it’s very hard to tell if they plan to give any of these Labo game experiences much depth. So, yeah, it’s impossible to discern how much staying power the mini-games might have. Read more

You know, now that you mention it, I’d have to agree that the Splatoon stats being the same for both games has to be the most impressive stat out of all the ones I listed. Read more

Agreed. At the time what I wanted was another WarioWare. But I came to appreciate it as its own odd thing. Read more
