Yeah that was definitely a moment of vulnerability. Surprised he included it! Read more

Sure but those felt conceptually connected, you know? How does this go from cell to dog to robot looking thing? Regigigas *looks* like a combination of a bunch of rock-lookin’ Pokemon. Castform turns into a bunch of weather related stuff. I mean, those are still silly, but they make some sort of sense, too. Read more

That is not the case. Anything reviewers made in the past is in an older server. I’m sure some people have remade levels from that press copy of Mario Maker, but I haven’t really seen many of them on the popular tab. Read more

It might take some time. You need to make sure to come up with a good concept and more importantly a catchy name. Often, I cycle through levels and dont actually take a look at the course unless the name sounds enticing. Maybe that’s just me. I hope more people play your level! Read more

On this note, if you make a cool level or see a level that you think needs more attention, feel free to email me about it. patricia@kotaku.com - I’m on this beat so I’ll try to follow the community closely. Read more

Yeah one of those is featured in the video—and I really like it, too! Damn costumes. They’re way too charming. Read more

Today is the release of Super Mario Maker so we’re bumping up some older stuff. Oh sure. It felt more played for laughs than titillation though? Like I didn’t sit there going “oh my...!” more than I did chuckle at his situation. That’s just me though. Read more

Yeah I’m curious if we’ll see a ton once the game actually releases. Right now the hot trend is automatic levels...it’ll be interesting to see what else catches on. Read more

Ha, forreal. Speaking of which: I am very much looking forward to the eventual good Luigi’s Mansion levels! Read more

Does it seem that unlikely? Ingress players reported finding each other pretty easily/regularly, and that fanbase isn’t as big as Pokemons. It will probably depend on location a bit, but I’d wager that if you live in a major city, it probably wouldn’t be hard to find other players—I know I can go just about anywhere Read more

Ha, I was thinking this last night - finally we get the Pokemon MMO! In a form nobody really wanted! Read more

I hope so! I mean, I would kind of hate that, but it would also be great in a way. Read more

Of course I felt the same way about the Pokewalker but I remember that every single one of my friends in college used it. In fact, we would play DDR and give whoever was on the pad every Pokewalker so we could all benefit from the stomps. Got hella steps that way. Didn’t matter how dorky the Pokewalker was.

I think you mean “THIS GAME IS A YES, YOU SHOULD PLAY IT.” We don’t do scores. :) Read more
