The Mario Odyssey bundle comes with the game as a download. :( Read more

Correct, my PC laptop died earlier this year and all I have is my MacBook Air. I tried getting Trails the 3rd running on Wine, but no luck. I plan to buy a gaming PC at some point in 2018 — mostly because of Kirk’s pressure — so I’m sure I’ll play it then. Read more

I’m still playing and enjoying it, I can just tell it’ll be the same routine over and over. I love-love-love the setting, though, which is why I plan to keep going. Read more

The best part about the audiobook of BLOOD, SWEAT, AND PIXELS is that every five minutes, the narrator stops to ask if Ebony coffee is really that good. Read more

We could’ve easily just made it a list of games we played this year, but that wouldn’t feel like a thorough look back at 2017. Feedback appreciated, though. Read more

There is a very strong chance that I will get a gaming PC at some point next year, play Divinity 2, and then talk about it with Kirk for a long time on the show! Read more

I appreciate the thoughtful and polite feedback. I chose to review Xenoblade 2 because I fucking love the Switch and I really hoped that I’d find something to love in the Switch’s first big JRPG. Yeah, it raises an interesting question, and I’m sure this will keep coming up with more and more “service” games in the future. But if you bought vanilla Destiny 2 on PC (which came out in late October), you had less than a month and a half with this stuff before it locked you out. That’s kinda nuts. Read more

No Cayde, sadly. Osiris’s Ghost plays a big role, though, and she’s pretty fun. Read more

I bought Skyrim again on Switch last Friday and I have been playing it all weekend. Skyrim is perfect on the Switch. All video games need to be on the Switch. That is all. Read more

I’m not being facetious. If you don’t want to read the thoughts of someone who didn’t love the first game, you should look elsewhere. There are plenty of glowing reviews out there from people who love the series. Nothing wrong with that! Read more

I chose to review it because, as I said in the second paragraph, I was hoping that Takahashi and crew would make something I enjoyed more this time around. Read more

You could listen to the whole podcast to hear me ask more about those sorts of things, or you could email me (jason@kotaku.com) if you have evidence of “rampant corruption, bribes, and back room deals.” Or just complain here. Up to you! Read more
