I might be misremembering but I believe there’s a BotW Any% run planned for SGDQ run by Orcastraw. Maybe a bonus incentive? That stuff is always subject to change though. Read more

The updated stuff is needless in the sense that it messes with some the visual aesthetics of the original, which still looks great. With Day of the Tentacle, the hand-drawn quality worked well for the game’s cartoony nature. Here? I’d rather stay with the rough edges of the original pixel art. Read more

The comic is great, even if it got a little too wild for my taste. I started with the Sonic Spinball issue, which was issue three IIRC. I only really lasted as a dedicated reader until issue 50 and the EndGame arc stuff. After that, I read the occasional issue at the beach during the summer. Read more

Yep. That’s The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and it’s pretty wild stuff. A lot more like a Looney Tunes show than this one. It also had “Sonic Says,” a segment at the end of episodes with some morals for kids to learn. Read more

What’s good for a corporation’s bottom line is rarely what is good for the customer. Nintendo’s free to make whatever decision they want to maximize profit but profits always comes at someone else’s expense. Read more

Good question, Riley. My main focus is playing through a beloved adventure game involving motorcycles. I was big into point and click games when I was a kid and I’m interested to see how well this one holds up. It’s interesting. I think Grim Fandango is as good as ever but I was a bit underwhelmed returning Day of the Read more

You’re asking if the developers left a flimsy wall at that specific (but seemingly random) spot on the map so that players would use the damage from the acid to clip through and have the presence of mind to use their flight ability before they presumably void out, all while knowing that they can fly upwards and slide Read more

He really nailed it. This was really cool to watch. Kaizo blows my mind. I have trouble opening a bag of chips, let alone spin jumping on a shell so munchers don’t kill me. Read more

It’s mostly meant for any deaf readers but I’m glad to know that I’m helping a lot of people procrastinate from putting covers on their TPS reports. Read more

Wow, this comment was a mini roller-coaster! Glad you enjoyed it. It’s always fun to take a deeper dive into games. Read more

Linkus7's split for Puppet Ganon was 1:51:22 last night and I think someone was floating about a consistent way to make the last Zombie Hover without needing to gamble on a random fairy flying into you. I imagine we’ll have sub 2 hours before the day is out. If it hasn’t happened already. Read more

I get comments like this a lot when the topic comes up and it always feels reductive. I actually want to take time to address it. The idea that people don’t play through the entire game is really absurd. In order to find tricks, runners and hunters have to play through the game as intended to understand mechanics and Read more

Yeah, I really like the cryonis trick because it’s so simple when you think about it. No need for a bomb boost or anything. Just a quick climb and shield jump. Read more

I’m back to my own schedule now that I’ve finished Yooka-Laylee. It’s a bit of a sprint to handle a few games this weekend, since I want to take time to relax on my own terms now that the world is getting even more strange. Tonight, I’m finishing a second playthrough of Nier: Automata for footage purposes. It’s a Read more
