The broken weapons both feel like worthwhile upgrades. The shotgun is breech-loading and only holds two shells at a time but it’s damn powerful. It was my go to weapon for the last third of the game. Read more
There’s literally an entire paragraph about how good the Lucas stuff is. Happy Birthday was a gem of a puzzle. I wish the game had more of that or even some of the extremely arcane stuff from the demo. Read more
In my early impressions, I noted that this didn’t necessarily have to be a Resident Evil game. I still think that’s case. There are lore connections, particularly the further you get into the game but they’re a bit vague and threadbare. Read more
I think the environmental design is stellar and you get a fair deal of dread simply from walking through halls with ambient sounds or stumbling into a moldy basement where monsters are lurking. Read more
