Wasn’t Messages originally part of the core PS app? Iirc, they broke up their app into 3 or 4 separate apps not long after Facebook started the trend by separating FB Messenger from the core FB app. I might have that timeline wrong, but it’s just odd to me that they’re acting like it was never this way before.
